Biography

Mr. Daniel is the Senior Country Officer and IFC Lead for Liberia. A Ghanaian national, he joined IFC as a Legal Adviser in 2006 and has since held various leading technical/advisory roles across multiple jurisdictions, including South Africa, South Sudan, Liberia, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Sierra Leone. He manages diverse economy-wide and sector specific government facing business environment advisory projects that address policy, institutional, legal and regulatory barriers to investment. He holds a Doctorate (LLD) and a Master’s degree in law (LLM) from the University of Pretoria in South Africa, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Ghana, and Practicing Certificates as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana (LPC) from the Ghana School of Law. Before joining IFC, Kobi worked as Regional Manager for the African Training and Management Services (ATMS) Project of the UNDP in South Africa and Kenya, as General Counsel for a Pan-African Media Company (an IFC investee) in South Africa, and as an Associate in a Corporate and Commercial Legal Practice and a lecturer in Commercial Law in Ghana.
