Mr. Edward D. Smith

Mr. Edward D. Smith is a Liberian construction and architectural professional from Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, with extensive academic and professional training in architecture and related disciplines. He began his formal education at the Elementary Demonstration School in Buchanan in 1970 and later attended Seventh Day Adventist Junior High School, Ricks Institute, and the Booker Washington Institute (BWI), where he graduated in 1981 with a diploma in Architectural Drafting. He subsequently attended Tubman Technical College, where he studied Architectural Science and earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree. Committed to lifelong learning, he has also participated in various professional training programs, workshops, seminars, and other capacity-building opportunities. Mr. Smith has gained valuable professional experience working with prominent institutions, including the American Embassy and the Liberia Telecommunications Corporation. His professional experience and encouragement from colleagues inspired him to establish Construction and Architecture Services (CASE), Inc., where he currently serves as General Manager. In addition to leading his firm, he contributes to the development of Liberia’s construction sector through his service as Vice President of the Association of Liberian Construction Contractors (ALCC).
